We love a good blend. I’m not talking about a great Bordeaux or California red, I’m talking nursery design. Blending styles makes a room so interesting. Arizona based mom-to-be, Valerie pulled from both romantic and modern styles to create a stunning nursery for her daughter Serafina who is set to arrive any minute. Love the yellow accent wall and gold pouf.
What was your inspiration for the room?
Romance, modern, sunny colors, peace…little elements of whimsy
What best describes your decorating style?
Modern romantic
Please share with us your choice of paint colors, furniture, art, diy tips, etc.
Paint colors: low VOC “Brown Teepee” by Behr and low VOC “Fuzzy Navel” by Olympic. Baby furniture is LOFT by Netto Collection (recycled from our first child), rocking chair is Luca glider by Monte Design..wall mirror is from Horchow, book shelves are from The Land of Nod, shaggy rug is from The Rug Market, bedding is from Dwell Studio. Ceiling pendant lamp is IKEA’s KNAPPA, artificial floor tree is from Shop Wild Things, large canvas art is fabric bought by the yard and stretched over canvas by me, most of the little framed art is by me with frames and materials from Michael’s store, gold puff chair is by Zid Zid Kids.
What is your favorite item(s) in the room?
I must say the collage of frames and art of the walls as well as white mirror that brings elegance to the room
Is there anything else you would like PN readers to know?

This is one of my favorites on here because it combines unusual colors (which love beautiful) and a great modern style! I love yellow and this room just makes you feel happy! Fantastic job and I will more than likely do a room like this when I have a baby=)

This is awesome! I love the art on the wall and the way the butterflies are flying outside of the frame. And that pouf is totally fab.
