Giveaway: JJ Cole Storage Boxes

It’s no secret that Melisa is a self proclaimed “organization snob”. Her trim email inbox and tidy computer files make me blush and don’t even get me started on her closet.  After a bit of self examination I came to the conclusion that I need to work harder in the organization department. First up were the ever growing pile of toys that were quickly taking over our entire house.  JJ Cole, makers of many fabulous products like the super popular bundle me, diaper bags, pacifier pods and more came to my rescue.  Their new line of collapsible storage boxes gave me the inspiration I needed to get the toy situation under control. After I did a sweep of all the toys and books, purged and sorted, I neatly assigned them to different boxes according to theme. The end result was marvelous. It made me feel what I suppose all those neat freaks out there live for, a little rush.

Like all of JJ Cole products, the boxes are made from high quality, durable materials. I love the fact that the boxes come in a deep chocolate color which was mature enough to match the decor of our living room. The hamper is another favorite. Tall and narrow dimensions make it a perfect size for the nursery.

Love the pink and green storage boxes. I’m having a girl soon and those are perfect. I also love the bibs and diapers and wipes holders. This is such a great idea. Sometimes that’s all you need when you make a quick trip out with the baby.

I love, love, love the baby blue storage boxes and diaper caddy, and I’ve always had my eye on the Bundleme for stroller travel. I also commented on Facebook. With twins on the way, storage is definitely key!

I really like the storage boxes, so my storage tip is more like a revelation. Humans are natural collectors, especially kids. If you want to be organized, you have to work at it continually. If you are planning to let things go, be sure to designate a good chuck of time later to catch up. It helps to have a system in place, but if not, you can always adapt from others and over time to see what works best for you. Less is more. Also, making a list is helps. See realsimple.com for more tips.

These boxes are great, and will really help to get my sister-in-law’s nursery in order before baby comes in January! One trick I’ve learned from a friend is to use an old (repurposed/used) bookshelf to store toys rather than a toy box. The shelves keep the toys visible and you can easily see which toys are being played with and which are not (and nothing gets buried at the bottom of the box), so you can tell which toys to rotate out and which to keep.

  167. 167

My best storage tip is to clearly label your boxes, and when there are many items in the box, note what they are on the outside of the box so that you don’t have to open it frequently to search for items!

I love, love, love these storage pieces. Our little house doesn’t have space for a separate playroom, so I’m dreading the fact that a portion of our family room will be taken over by baby stuff. Fortunately these pieces match the decor of our family room perfectly, so I can use this to organize baby stuff, without sacrificing the style of the room!

    storage tip:

the small clear bins are great for seperating toys like bloacks, legs, crayons, matchbox cars…

on the front of each bin, tape a photo of what is inside to the inside of the bin so your kids can see what is supposed to go in the bin when cleaning up. Also makes it easier for them to find their toys instead of ransacking through all the belongings in search of something specific.

I discovered JJCole’s “BundleMe” car-seat-cover-ups when my first child was teeny. They’re a life saver! My little guy was snug as a bug and cozy in the soft material, too. Our winters get pretty bad, so really- it was amazing. I bought a new one for our second child – due in Feb. It’s probably my favorite JJCole thing- at least so far. What I want now is actually the diaper/wipes caddy. I’d love to win these!!

    My best storage tip:

Put things that you use often on top when putting them in a box, that way theres no digging or having to dump things out when you go to use them, it keeps everything neat.

  224. 224

They have some great storage items. The hamper is really cute, but if i have to pick just one favorite it would be the “short box’ in pink. About four of them would be perfect to put on the shelves in my daughters closet.
