Real Parties: Kate’s Sweet Shop
Hello party people! Your resident party girl, Kim here, bringing you this sweet lollipop party right from my own home! My daughter, Kate just turned two and since she is such a little sweetie, I decided on a candy-filled lollipop party for her. Her first birthday bash was cupcake themed and went crazy with the sweetness!

I started this party off right by creating a super-cute (if I do say so myself) cut-out lollipop invitation! These were quite a bit of work, but well worth it! Contact me if you need advice on making these and I’ll share some tips! You can also purchase them in my shop! Along with the invitations, I made coordinating cupcake toppers (my favorite!), lollipop tags, banners and a door sign that said “Kate’s Sweet Shop”. I also decided to make huge lollipops for lining the sidewalk up to our front door. These were super easy, made with paper plates, decorative paper, tape, a wood dowel, cellophane & ribbon!

For the food, I tried to find things that could be put on a lollipop stick! I found some random things like a rainbow-colored round gelatin dessert and stuck a lollipop stick in it! Fruit on a stick, pink snowballs on a stick, and of course the super cute chocolate-dipped marshmallow pops were all yummy!

The kids decorated foam “lollipops”, which were foam circles that I had taped onto lollipop sticks. I put out letters, animals, flowers and other little foam stickies for them to create their own lollipop craft!
Kate was so adorable in her custom rhinestone lollipop tank top from Pouty Pants, and adorable satin-trimmed pink tutu from Etsy. Perfection!

Hmmm….What will next year’s sweet theme be? I’m thinking popsicles….or gumballs….I know, I’m crazy to already be planning, but that’s how party girls roll!
I recently opened my Etsy shop for party invitations and decorations, and I can’t believe how many party-obsessed mommas I am connecting with! I feel like I’m not the only crazy one anymore!
